  • Interested in using media to transform your community? The Grassroots Radio Conference (GRC) celebrates the vibrant and democratic medium of local, community-driven radio. We bring together media artists, community organizers, radio operators and engineers, and ordinary people from across the country to learn, discuss, brainstorm, and build.

  • To improve the lives of those living with HIV/ AIDS and to help decrease the spread of the disease, GCAP collaborates with local resources and organizations to serve its community by providing educational outreach to the public and by providing assistance to those who are living with HIV in the form of transitional housing, emergency financial aid and other supportive services.

  • Educational Radio Station that provides broadcasts and events to benefit the communities throughout east-central Illinois and a monthly publication called the PrimeLife Times that provides content that's informative, engaging and possitive.

  • Habitat for Humanity of Champaign County and ReStore is a nonprofit, Christian housing ministry that works to both eliminate poverty housing around the world and to make adequate housing a matter of conscience and action.  Habitat welcomes partners from any faith – or no faith tradition -which are willing to help improve the lives of families needing safe, affordable, decent housing.

  • Harbor Light Hospice seeks to meet the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of patients and families who are facing a life limiting illness. Services are provided by a team of professionals and volunteers who are physician directed and nurse coordinated. Harbor Light Hospice staff are experts in pain and symptom management and strive to provide a caring, supportive environment for patients and loved ones.

  • Hatch, as the first-ever creative-reuse art festival produced by The I.D.E.A. Store, a Champaign, Illinois-based creative-reuse marketplace and social earned-income enterprise of the Champaign Urbana Schools Foundation, is in its 2nd year and going strong. The festival features 7 events including a juried art fair and juried art exhibition, special lectures, music and an artist-in-residence who works with local school children and provides workshops to the public while visiting.

  • The Heartland Maker Fest is Makerspace Urbana‘s annual event celebrating the amazing makers in Urbana-Champaign and the surrounding communities. We wish to:

  • His Kid's Closet takes donated clothing etc. and redistributes for free or low cost in the community.  We do this most often on Tuesdays at the Public Health Department where we hold a pop-up store with free clothing.  We also distribute clothes through school social workers and other third parties. 

  • Homestead's mission is to provide high-quality affordable housing to all individuals and households lacking adequate resources in Champaign-Urbana. We have a variety of programs encompassing housing for homeless adults to providing affordable rental housing and affordable home-ownership opportunities to low-income families.
