Champaign County Forest Preserve District
Volunteerism is an essential part of maintaining our resources and programs of Champaign County's forest preserves. District volunteers develop meaningful relationships with the natural environment and cultural communities of the area, and aid in improving the quality of life for others. Diverse volunteer opportunities exist such as helping with:
- Resource Management
- Artifact Care
- Office Assistance
- Special Events
- Citizens Advisory Committee
- Recreation (golf, fishing...)
However you choose to volunteer, you will become a valuable part of preserving Champaign County's natural and cultural resources for generations to come. The CCFPD has volunteer opportunities for both individuals and groups based on your availability and interests.
We are stewards of our county's natural and historic resources through conservation, education and the compatible outdoor recreation experiences we provide at Champaign County's Forest Preserves. CCFPD is a local, property tax-supported government agency charged with the stewardship of six forest preserves covering more than 3,900 acres in Champaign County, Illinois.
