Champaign Farmers' Market
The Champaign Farmers' Market makes fresh, local food more accessible to our community and supports local farmers by providing a midweek opportunity to buy produce, meat, fish, dairy, baked goods, honey, grains, and flowers in the heart of Downtown Champaign. The Market offers a SNAP doubling program that provides matching funds up to $20/week to help struggling families afford fresher food. Operated by a Champaign farmer-training nonprofit, The Land Connection, the Market seeks to strengthen the local economy and our local food system by providing an additional sales opportunity for local farmers, where the public can learn the value of eating local.
The Market operates on Tuesdays from 3:30-6:30 (May 16-October 41) in the parking lot by Neil & Main in Downtown Champaign. Vendors all come from within 150 miles of Champaign-Urbana, and all products are grown, raised, or produced by the vendors. We also offer cooking demonstrations, a sampling tent, kids' programming, and a community tent, where different organizations can promote upcoming events and reach shoppers to share what they do.
