GIRLS Volunteer and Internship Opportunities (All day) GIRLS Tutoring and Administrative Interns We would love for volunteers and/or Interns to assist with the following: (a) tutoring, (b) webdesign, (c) accounting (experience with Quickbooks), (d) business finance and marketing, (e) human resources, (f) grant writing, and (e) mentoring.
 
Champaign Farmers Market Volunteer (All day) Farmers Market Volunteer 1st shift: (1-6 pm) These volunteers will be responsible for assisting in the set up of the Market and will patrol the market site to help ensure that all shoppers are practicing the safety guidelines. 2nd shift: (3-6 pm) These volunteers will be responsible for curbside pick up 3rd shift: (3-8 pm) These volunteers will assist with the information booth and market entrance. They will help pack up and transport supplies to storage site after the Market closes.
 
The Salvation Army Food Pantry Worker (All day) Daily Food Pantry Operations We ask that Food Pantry Workers volunteer for a minimum of a two-hour time slot. The Food Pantry is open from 9:00 am until 2:00 pm Monday through Friday (excluding holidays).
 
Volunteer Opportunities at RPC Early Childhood Education Centers (All day) Volunteer Opportunities at RPC Early Childhood Education Centers The Champaign County Regional Planning Commission (RPC) has volunteer opportunities available at all of our Early Childhood Education Centers in Champaign, West Champaign, Urbana, Savoy, and Rantoul. Activities include reading to classrooms, giving demonstrations, assisting teachers and teacher aides in the classrooms, recruitment efforts in the community, offering help with outdoor gardens, and more. All volunteers are subject to background checks and physicals, including a TB test. Description:
We have opportunities for volunteers throughout our day. The school day starts at 8:05 and ends at 2:50, with most classes being about 40 minutes long. Most volunteers come in for one class period a week, but you can certainly volunteer more days/hours if you'd like to!

Volunteer Administrative Assistant
Description:
We are looking for a responsible Administrative Assistant to perform a variety of administrative and clerical tasks. Duties of the Administrative Assistant include providing support to our managers and employees, assisting in daily office needs and managing our company’s general administrative activities.

DV Hotline Volunteer
Description:
Courage Connection is begining the process to add Volunteers to be trainined to cover the Domestic Violence Hotline answering calls, intake, etc. Must be 18 or older. Must have completed 40 hour Domestic Violence Advocacy Volunteer must make a regular, weekly commitment. The individual doesn't necessarily have to be available for all shifts listed, but must be available each week for their chosen time slot. Interviews for this volunteer postion will begining in November 2018 with DV Training occuring in January 2019 Volunteer(s) must submit an application: http://courageconnection.org/get-involved/volunteer/opportunities/volunteer-application/. Once application has been reviewed, Courage Connection will directly contact the individual(s).

Description:
This position is responsible for providing general administrative support as needed to the Executive Director and clinic.
