ReStore Item Curation and Research

Description

Habitat for Humanity of Champaign County and ReStore is looking for a volunteer to help with curating and researching antique and unique items with the goal of selling them in the ReStore and via the online store. The Habitat ReStore receives a wide array of donations and this volunteer would be tasked with going through these items to find those that have potentially more collectible value and then researching the selected items for marketing and pricing purposes.

This is the perfect volunteer opportunity for someone with a background in antiques and collectibles, or for someone with a passion for "treasure hunting" and history. This position would involve some socially-distanced time in the ReStore's receiving area to go through the donated items, but otherwise there will be little to no contact with the general public.

This volunteer opportunity can also be expanded to include item posting on the ReStore's online store, with training given on how to use Square's online selling platform.

Monday, September 20, 2021 - 3:00pm
