Dump & Run Sale Setup Volunteer

Description

Dump and Run is a community recycling program that keeps over 20 tons of used, quality goods out of Champaign-Urbana’s dumpsters and landfills each year. Every year following our May collections period, we unload our storage trucks in August and begin setup for our Big Sale on, this year on August 24 and 25.

Volunteers help unload trucks and help sort, tag and price items for the sale.

Please wear closed toe shoes and comfortable clothing that you don't mind getting dirty.  We will provide you with a green Dump & Run t-shirt.  Volunteers will be responsible for carrying and sorting items. This can be physically intensive and requires a moderate level of mobility.  If you need accommodations or are concerned if this volunteer opportunity is right for you, please contact dumpandrun@universityymca.org or call (217) 337-1500
