Become a Project READ Volunteer Tutor!
Volunteers are needed throughout the Parkland College district. All Project READ tutors complete a minimum of 12-14 hours of formal training to earn certification in Adult Learning. Training for new tutors is a combination of online lessons through the Illinois Secretary of State’s office, face-to-face training, and classroom observation. We offer face-to-face training sessions at least once a month. Sign up for an “Intro to Tutoring” on our Sign-up page.
