Community & Campus Day Of Service 2018

Description

Your help is needed to combat hunger in our community! At the Community & Campus Day of Service, members of the local community and University of Illinois faculty, staff, and students will join forces in packaging 151,000 meals - one thousand for every year of public engagement since the University was chartered - for local foodbanks to be distributed to needy families in eastern Illinois.

Hundreds of volunteers are needed for the food packaging project as well as a number of other projects being planned to benefit the local community. Volunteers of all ages are welcome to join, and we welcome both individual and group registrations! Several volunteer shifts will be available during the day.

If you have questions about the Food Packaging Project, you can contact us at dayofservice@cuvolunteer.org.
