Champaign Public Library: Children's Services - Office Volunteer (Wednesday Morning)

Description

Children's Services office volunteers will assist Children's Services staff with a variety of tasks. Some of these may include alphabetizing books, preparing craft projects, helping with programs as needed, straightening book shelves, locating lost books, as well as many other tasks. Adult (older than 18 years) volunteers are welcome. Volunteers are currently needed on Wednesdays, 9:30 am to 11:30 am.  Volunteers must consent to a background check.

Please contact the library’s volunteer coordinator to set up a volunteer interview.  An interview with a volunteer coordinator must be completed before volunteer work can begin. Please email volunteer@champaign.org or call 217/403-2070, ext. 4 to schedule an interview. All volunteer positions are on-going volunteer tasks and not for one time or for a short term volunteer opportunity. We ask for a minimum  commitment of six months when volunteering. Every volunteer will have a regular working schedule with a minimum of two hours each week.
