Champaign Public Library: Access Services - Shelving Volunteer

Description

Volunteers assist the library during weekday open hours with the following: Help shelve library materials including books, videos, DVDs, and CDs. Check library shelves to make sure library materials including books, DVDs and videos are neat and orderly on the shelf. Pull requested materials from the librarys bookshelves. Both individual and group adult (over 18 years old) volunteers are welcome.
 

An interview with a volunteer coordinator must be completed before volunteer work can begin. Please email volunteer@champaign.org or call 217/403-2070 to schedule an interview.  All volunteer positions are on-going volunteer tasks and not for one time or for a short term volunteer opportunity. We ask for a minimum  commitment of six months when volunteering.  Every volunteer will have a regular working schedule with a minim of two hours each week.
