Champaign Public Library: Access Services - Shelving Volunteer
Volunteers are needed to assist the Library with shelving library materials and checking library shelves to ensure library materials are neat and orderly on the shelf. This includes the physical ability to handle and lift library materials (weighing approximately 40 pounds) and ability to push fully loaded carts of library materials. Volunteers also pull requested materials from the library's collection. Both individual and group adult (over 18 years old) volunteers are welcome. Volunteers are currently welcome during the following days and times:
- Monday through Thursday, 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.
- Saturday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
- Sunday, 12 p.m. to 5 p.m.
An interview with a volunteer coordinator must be completed before volunteer work can begin. Please email firstname.lastname@example.org or call (217) 403 -2070 to schedule an interview. The library requests a minimum commitment of two hours each week when volunteering.
