Afternoon feedings

Description

Help S.H.A.R.E. help horses by assisting us with our afternoon chores. In the late afternoon, we dump and refill water buckets and distribute hay and grain to stalls and bring in approximately 30 rescue horses awaiting adoption, being rehabilitated, or in santuary care.  We halter and lead  horses to their stalls.  Other horses  run into their  stalls after gates are opened for them.  Sometimes there are horses requiring special medicines. Sometimes people will stay after chores for grooming.  We hope to get at least 4 people each day of the week. Any afternoon you can volunteer is helpful.  Horse experience is not required.   If you're a larger group, we can have you come out for barn cleaning days or scrubbing of the outside troughs. We also have an morning feeding which is a separate opportunity. We try to manage scheduling our volunteers through this website, so if you're interested feel free to email heidefogal@aol.com or call Kim at 217-649-3232.
