    Our big Halloween event in conjunction with Marketplace Mall and the Urbana Park District. We take over the mall and set up trick or treating, craft and game stations, a costume contest, and a haunted house. We need help setting-up, running activity stations throughout the mall, shepherding kids in the costume contest, and doing crafts with the thousands of kids that attend this event (50-100 volunteers)

    Volunteers are needed to help plant, harvest, and maintain C-UPHDs community garden. There are thirty raised garden beds on site that contain crops such as asparagus, strawberries, raspberries, as well as annual fruits and vegetables that must be replanted every year. All fruits and vegetables harvested are offered to community members and families that utilize services at C-UPHD. Our mission is to increase availability of fresh produce to local residents.

    Money Mentor volunteers build financial capacity in our local communities by providing financial education and coaching to individuals. Mentoring consists of working one-on-one with people who have asked for help with their personal finances and community outreach through displays, community talks, or other projects.     The Champaign Farmers' Market brings fresh, local food to the heart of downtown Champaign and provides a midweek sales opportunity to local farmers. We also operate a SNAP matching program to help make fresher, more nutritious food available to our whole community. The Market is run by a small, local non-profit, The Land Connection.     Sign up for face-to-face training. Once a tutor has completed training, he/she will be matched with an individual adult learner or with a classroom. This is determined by the tutor's interest, availability, and proximity to a tutoring site. We ask for the tutors to work in a classroom or with an individual learner at least two hours per week. Classes meet several times/week, M-F at Parkland College, Urbana Adult Ed or the Regional Office of Education in Rantoul, including weekday evenings....

    The Champaign Center Partnership is in need of volunteers on Saturday, November 11th from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. to decorate the streets of Downtown Champaign. This will include transporting decorations, as well as warping the light poles with garland, ribbon and lights. Lunch will be served to all volunteers.
