Snow Angel Volunteer Snow Removal Program

Can you help students and other Urbana residents get around safely this winter?  Every winter portions of sidewalks used by walkers and people in wheelchairs become impassable due to uncleared snow on sidewalks.  We are looking for volunteers to be "Snow Angels" for other residents and help to keep routes clear.  Volunteers select a section along priority sidewalk routes (based on school walking routes and other high-traffic sidewalks around bus stops, etc.), and commit to clearing the section within 48 hours after a snowfall of 2" or more.

March of Dimes (Champaign-Urbana & Surrounding Areas

The mission of the March of Dimes is to improve the health of babies by preventing birth defects, premature birth and infant mortality.The March of Dimes has been conducting special events for more than 60 years. These activities--formal balls, signature chef auctions and dinners, motorcycle rides, golf tournaments and March for Babies--help the March of Dimes fund cutting-edge research and innovative programs to save babies. Our local market goal is to educate the community and build awareness of the March of Dimes.

Mahomet Area Youth Club

Mahomet Area Youth Club (MAYC) is a non-profit after-school and full-day summer program that serves members ages 6-18 in Champaign County via BLAST, clubhouse hours, homework club, and other youth-related programming. MAYC's mission is to is to teach and support young people to develop their full potential to become responsible, respectful, caring and productive citizens,. MAYC fulfills this mission by providing daily programming for the members, community outreach, and collaboration with community organizations. We serve over 800 youth each year.
