Bowl For Kids Sake 2020

Join Big Brothers Big Sisters for our largest fundraiser, Bowl for Kids' Sake!

Teams of 4-6 people fundraise $100 per person ($500 per team). The weekend of Bowl for Kids' Sake, teams come out to Old Orchard Lanes to enjoy free bowling, free pizza, and free drinks in celebration of the money raised for Big Brothers Big Sisters. Click the link to sign up today!

Start-Bright Organization

What is START BRIGHT?
An educational program that help young girls thrive by highlighting their strengths, offering a uniquely enhanced experience, which integrates professionals from multiple fields, and providing life skills development through workshops.

Workshops are held twice a month on Saturdays (10am-2pm) starting in May 2020!

How do we highlight their strengths?​
-Our goal is to help children identify their strengths, build confidence and encourage them to discover what they bring to the world.​

Volunteers Needed for the disAbility Resource Expo!

The DisABILITY Resource Expo relies on the involvement of numerous volunteers, to continue its impact as an exciting, community-wide activity. Volunteers are needed to serve on various planning committees leading up to the event, and many more are needed on event-weekend, helping with set-up, greeting exhibitors and guests, supervising Childrens’ Activities, assisting guests/exhibitors/entertainers, and helping with tear-down, clean-up, & move-out at event completion.

CHM Bible Theatre Productions, Inc.

CHM Bible Theatre Productions, Inc. is a grassroots faith-based organization devoted to presenting inspirational and innovative stage play community productions, providing holistic, culturally and competent programs in various communities. Our goal is to bring unity in communities by presenting productions, providing drama training using a diverse group of people between the ages of 5 to 75 selected from churches, private schools, universities, corporations, theater and other organizations.

Volunteer Lunch & Learn Series: Woman Suffrage & Women's Rights Museum Exhibit Sneak Peek

Both current and new volunteers are welcome to join us for our Volunteer Lunch & Learn series! Bring lunch and a friend to learn more about volunteer opportunities and what CCFPD has to offer. Museum of the Grand Prairie staff will join us to discuss its upcoming exhibit, How Long Must Women Wait? Woman Suffrage and Women’s Rights in Champaign County. Get a sneak preview of this exhibit and learn about the work going into its completion! Light refreshments and beverages will be available.

Museum Docent Workshop/Training

Do you have a passion for history and want to pass it onto others? The Museum of the Grand Prairie is looking for volunteers to be part of our new Museum Docent program! Attend this training session and workshop to learn how you can become a museum docent and lead tour groups through museum exhibits. Participants will receive an outline of the program and exhibit study sources, as well as tips & tricks to lead an engaging museum tour. If you cannot attend this workshop/training, another session is available February 2nd.

Circle Cycle

Circle Cycle is carrying out its pilot Earn-A-Bike program this Spring semester and is searching for volunteers in the community! Circle Cycle aims to reduce bike waste and increase mobility within the local community by introducing a bike repair youth entrepreneurial program that allows each middle-school or high-school participant to earn a bike of their own while gaining crucial soft skills along the way.

Bowl For Kids Sake

Bowl For Kids’ Sake is Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Illinois' signature fundraiser. Bowl For Kids’ Sake is the perfect way for individuals to make an impact on our community - it only takes a little bit of effort to raise the money that is vital to our program’s success. We ask that each bowler raise a minimum of $100 or their team raises at least $500 to participate.
