Volunteers are needed to serve on various planning committees leading up to the event, and many more are needed on event-weekend, helping with set-up, greeting exhibitors and guests, supervising Childrens’ Activities, assisting guests/exhibitors/entertainers, and helping with tear-down, clean-up, & move-out at event completion.
Both current and new volunteers are welcome to join us for our Volunteer Lunch & Learn series! Bring lunch and a friend to learn more about volunteer opportunities and what CCFPD has to offer. BE A WRAP STAR!
Yes, it is that time again. In between the office parties, the shopping, and the baking, don’t forget the gift wrapping! For those of you who love to indulge in the spirit of giving, gift wrapping is the perfect fundraiser to participate in!
During the week before Christmas, volunteers wrap gifts at Market Place Mall and in-turn ask for donations. This is the perfect holiday service project for your family, business, organization or church group.

We’re looking for volunteers to help lead and assist with a range of interactive activities from decorating flag-shaped cookies to conducting mock citizenship interviews to leading a trivia game about the history of the American flag. Volunteer to learn more about the citizenship process and meet a new neighbor! This is a great way to get your feet wet in immigrant advocacy and get connected to longer-term volunteer opportunities at the New American Welcome Center.
Can you help students and other Urbana residents get around safely this winter? Every winter portions of sidewalks used by walkers and people in wheelchairs become impassable due to uncleared snow on sidewalks. We are looking for volunteers to be "Snow Angels" for other residents and help to keep routes clear. Volunteers select a section along priority sidewalk routes (based on school walking routes and other high-traffic sidewalks around bus stops, etc.), and commit to clearing the section within 48 hours after a snowfall of 2" or more.
